NSS ACTIVITIES

The college NSS Cell comprising 200 volunteers undertook a number of activities under the guidance of their mentors NSS Programme Officers, Mrs. Vandana Pathania & Mrs. Reetu. Guided by the Motto,”Not Me, But You,” During the session, volunteers participated in many activities like poster making , awareness sessions, health camps, yoga sessions, quiz, visits, waste collection drive, Patriotic Singing, Tree Plantation, Card Making, Cleanliness Drives, Sadbhavna Diwas, Drug De-addiction,Teacher’s Day, Teej celebrations, Youth Day etc. The volunteers under the guidance of state NSS cell participated in various special camps like adventure camp at Narkanda and 23rd Rashtriya Katha Shivir at Rajkot Gujrat. A week long special NSS Camp was organized at the college. A number of activities like Yoga Sessions, Lecture on Road Safety by Police Department, self defence training session, first aid awareness session and many Awareness Campaigns were organised. Various competitions like Rangoli, Poster Making Poetry Recitation etc. were organised to add color to day-to-day laborious routine of the volunteers. The volunteers educated the masses on waste segregation giving them how to reduce and manage garbage. The week culminated with a colourful cultural bonanza enjoyed by all.

Red Ribbon Club

Red ribbon club under the leadership of Mrs Nitu Rana is being run in the college. These years though the students could not be physically present yet they actively participated in various state level functions and activities. Various online seminars and talks were conducted at college level, sensitizing the youth about the deadly disease and its consequences. Various online competitions, poster-making, face-painting, and sloganwriting were organised. An award of excellence was given to the college club by AIDSCON Society for its contribution in creating awareness about the deadly disease. Best RRC Volunteers of the session:
